Statement of Faith

STATEMENT OF FAITH

GOD

We believe that there is only One God, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son and, God the Holy Spirit. (1 John 5:7; Genesis 1:26; Matthew 3:16-17, 28:19; Luke 1:35; Isaiah 9:6; Hebrews 3:7-11)

THE BIBLE

We believe the Bible to be the inspired and only infallible written Word of God. (2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21; Proverbs 30:5; Romans 16:25-26)

JESUS CHRIST

We believe in Jesus Christ, who is the second part of the Trinity. On earth, Jesus was 100% God and 100% man. He is the only man ever to have lived a sinless life. He was born of a virgin, performed miracles, died on the cross for mankind, and thus atoned for our sins through the shedding of His blood. He is the Son of the Living God and the savior for Humanity whom through Him all things may be done. (John 1:1,14, 20:28; 1 Timothy 3:16; Isaiah 9:6; Philippians 2:5-6; 1 Timothy 2:5)

We believe that ONLY through belief in Jesus Christ and the sacrifice that he had done can we gain salvation. (Genesis 1:26-31, 3:1-7; Romans 5:12-21, 10:9)

THE HOLY SPIRIT

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the third person of the Trinity and God’s personal Spirit who dwells in the true believers and transforms them for the glory of our Lord. (John 3:3-6, 14:16-17, 15:26, 16:8, 16:13, Romans 8:9, Ephesians 1:13-14, 4:30)

We believe that regeneration by the Holy Ghost is absolutely essential for personal salvation. (John 6:44, 65; Matthew 19:28; Titus 3:5)

THE GIFTS OF THE SPIRIT

We believe in the manifestation of the Holy Spirit and the gifts that He gives to the believers who are looking for them (i.e., speaking in tongues, prophesying, miracles etc.) (Hebrews 2:4; Romans 1:11, 12 :4-8; Ephesians 4:16; 1 Timothy 4:14; 2 Timothy 1:6-7; 1 Corinthians 12:1-31, 14:1-40; 1 Peter 4:10)

THE HUMAN CONDITION

We believe in the fall of humanity through the act of sin which caused for corruption and evil to enter into our world. (Genesis 3:6-24, Isaiah 53:6, Romans 3:10, 3:23, 5:12, 8:5-9, Ephesians 2:1-3, James 4:4)

REDEMTION

We believe that the only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance and faith in the precious Blood of Jesus Christ. (John 3:16, 10:27-29, Romans 6:23, 8:38-39, 10:9-13, Ephesians 2:8-9, Colossians 1:14, Acts 4:12, 1 Peter 3:18, 1 John 2:2, Revelation 20:14, 21:10-27)

ORDINANCES OF THE CHURCH

We believe in the ordinances which were given by Christ to lead the church which include: The Lord’s Supper and Baptism in the waters. (Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:38; Mark 16:16; Acts 8:12, 36-38; 10:47-48, Matthew 26:26-29; 1 Corinthians 10:16, 11:23-25)

FASTING AND PRAYER 

We believe in the power of prayer and fasting, and through the acts of the Triune God, miracles can happen. (Joel 1:14, 2:12; Matthew 6:16-18; Mark 9:29; Acts 13:3, 14:23)

THE BLESSED HOPE

We believe in the blessed Hope, which is the rapture of the Church, in which Jesus Christ will return for a second time and collect all of the true believers and take them to the everlasting paradise in Heaven. (Matthew 24:30, 26:63-64; Acts 1:9-11; 1 Thessalonians 4:15-17; 2 Thessalonians 1:7-8; Revelation 1:7)
